A Favourite Meeting Place
When it first opened in 1967 in the hamlet of Campbellville, the Mohawk Inn was billed as the first “electric motel” in Ontario – an establishment with a rustic, early-Canadian colonial style, and the comfort and convenience of “all electric” heating and cooling. Its objective was simple: to provide a restful atmosphere in which clients could relax and enjoy themselves.
Since then, the Inn has been a favourite meeting place for locals and out-of-town travelers alike. A few things have changed over the years, but our mission remains the same – to maintain and enhance the Mohawk Inn’s reputation for top-notch hospitality. We have also recently refurbished the Inn – inside and out – with an eye to maintaining its original, cottage-like feel and rustic charm.
Our commitment is to host our guests in a clean, comfortable setting with excellent service and attention to their needs, while creating a unique experience that offers overall value.
Location and Accommodations
The Mohawk Inn and Conference Centre is conveniently located on more than 100 acres of woodland along Highway 401, 7 minutes from Milton and 30-45 minutes from several other major centres to the east and west. With 32 recently-updated guestrooms, a new restaurant, renovated meeting and banquet facilities that accommodate from 20 to 180 people, a heated outdoor pool, onsite hiking trails and ample free parking, the Mohawk Inn and Conference Centre provides the ultimate in guest-obsessed service, and convenient access to all that Escarpment Country has to offer.
What’s more, we are pleased to be able to host both camping enthusiasts and RV travelers at our newly-acquired KOA campground facility, adjacent to the Mohawk Inn.
The Inn is next door to the Mohawk Racetrack and minutes from Halton Region’s six conservation areas located within Ontario’s “Greenbelt,” and on or within the Niagara Escarpment, a UN-designated World Biosphere Reserve. With some of the best hiking, biking, snowboarding, cross-country and downhill skiing in the province, the Region’s conservation areas cover more than 7,000 acres of land, and provide excellent recreational opportunities for sports and nature enthusiasts alike.
Wedding and Meeting Space
Our picturesque setting and newly-refurbished meeting rooms with exposed wood beams, stone walls and in-house catering provided by The Mohawk Chop House restaurant will enhance any special occasion or corporate function. With professional event staff onsite, the Mohawk Inn and Conference Centre is an ideal venue for business meetings, conferences and retreats, weddings, stag-and-doe events, bridal and baby showers, family parties, anniversary celebrations and company parties.
Commitment To A Greener Clean
We value our customer’s right to a clean and comfortable room, but also know it’s important to take well-being into consideration. Many commercial cleansers use toxic compounds that contain ammonia, chlorine, or other harsh chemicals that are unpleasant to breathe in and dangerous to our health.
At Mohawk Inn, we pride ourselves on using cleaning products that are better for you and better for the environment. We use a two step approach – disinfect with Aquesan Fresh Start, a biodegradable, completely natural molecule that kills germs and destroys odors at their source. We then follow up with Legacy of Clean products, which are dermatologist tested and use naturally-derived ingredients such as coconut oil, orange oil, and aloe vera to safely and effectively make sure our accommodations are clean for you and your family!
