When it first opened in 1967 in the hamlet of Campbellville, the Mohawk Inn was billed as the “first electric motel” in Ontario – an establishment with an early-Canadian colonial style and the comfort and convenience of all electric heating and cooling. Its objective was simple: to provide a restful atmosphere in which guests could relax and enjoy themselves.
For nearly five decades Mohawk Inn has been a favourite meeting place for locals and out-of-towenrs alike. A few things have changed over the years, but our mission remains the same – to maintain and enhance the Mohawk Inn’s reputation for top-notch hospitality.
Since coming under new ownership in 2012, the Inn and its adjoining Toronto West KOA campground have been refurbished, renovated and infused with a sense of modern comfort and community. Now host to yearly events and offering several attractive package getaways and clean, comfortable rooms, Mohawk Inn is both a gathering hub and a centrally located place to lay down a weary traveller’s head. The The Inn itself has recently changed inside and out with an eye to maintaining its rustic, cottage-like feel and the addition of an upscale-casual steak house and lounge. Likewise, the KOA grounds have had a complete makeover tailored to the young families of the local Milton area, GTA and beyond.
